Ultrasonography Services
High-resolution, radiation-free ultrasound and Color Doppler imaging for accurate abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and soft-tissue diagnostics.
Our Ultrasonography Services unit offers advanced, non-invasive diagnostic imaging using high-resolution ultrasound and Color Doppler systems. Performed by experienced radiologists and sonographers, our scans provide safe, real-time visualization of internal organs, soft tissues, blood flow, and fetal development without any radiation exposure.
Clinical Scope & Scans Offered
- Abdominal & Pelvic Scans: Detailed evaluation of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, urinary bladder, and pelvic organs.
- Obstetric & Fetal Imaging: Routine pregnancy scans, early viability assessments, NT/NB scans, TIFFA (Level II Anomaly) scans, fetal growth monitoring, and biophysical profiles.
- Color Doppler Studies: Assessment of blood flow in carotid arteries, peripheral arterial and venous systems, renal vessels, and obstetric Doppler evaluations.
- Small Parts & Superficial Scans: High-frequency imaging for the thyroid, breast (sonomammography), scrotum, musculoskeletal joints, and soft-tissue swellings.
- Image-Guided Procedures: Ultrasound-guided FNAC, biopsies, and fluid aspirations for precise clinical intervention.
Scan Timings & Reporting
- Routine Scanning Hours: Monday – Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Emergency Scans: Available 24/7 for acute abdominal, trauma, and obstetric emergencies.
- Report Delivery: Printed films and detailed diagnostic reports are typically issued within 30 to 60 minutes after the scan.
Patient Preparation & Statutory Guidelines
- Upper Abdomen Scans: Require 6 to 8 hours of strict fasting prior to the examination to ensure clear visualization of the gallbladder and biliary tract.
- Pelvic & KUB Scans: Require a full urinary bladder; patients are advised to drink 4 to 5 glasses of water 45 minutes before their slot and avoid voiding.
- Regulatory Compliance (PCPNDT Act): For all obstetric (pregnancy) scans, patients must bring a valid doctor's prescription, a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID), and complete the mandatory Form-F declaration. Pre-natal sex determination is strictly prohibited by law.
